Job Description

Field Service Technician safely monitors, documents and maintains mechanical equipment used in the environmental remediation industry. Duties will include but are not limited to: 

  • Applying mechanical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Using precision measuring equipment and various hand and power tools. 
  • Documenting and supervising excavation, well-drilling, and various trade contractors. 
  • Performing general labor and construction duties based on the project requirements.
  • Working with water wells, piping and pumps.
  • Maintaining equipment calibration logs.
  • Recording field notes to the specific task performed at each site location.
  • Handling general warehouse and maintenance duties. 
  • Performing soil and groundwater sampling activities.
  • Following engineering, construction, and O&M policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities.

Job Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-4+ years of related fieldwork experience. Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Strong technical and mechanical abilities.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus. OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training will be provided if this certification is not yet earned. This certification is required to perform the duties of this position.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support project needs, and be agreeable to outdoor work. 
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be detail oriented and a team player.
