Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing daily shipping/receiving operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely coordination with freight carriers. The ideal candidate will have strong counting skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with cycle counting. Forklift certification is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform daily shipping and receiving duties, including preparing shipments, receiving a variety of components, verifying orders, and processing documentation.
· Communicate with freight carriers (with a focus on FedEx) to schedule pickups and deliveries, resolve issues, and ensure scheduling meets business needs. .on-time deliveries.
· Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
· Ensure all stock locations are maintained and tracked according to business processes.
· Accurately count, track, and record incoming and outgoing materials.
· Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials (a plus, but not required)
· Maintain shipping and inventory records in company systems.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
· Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to support operational efficiency.
· Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure all deliveries and shipments include proper documentation.
· Maintain organized storage and work areas

Qualifications
· Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or and inventory control is required.
· Strong ability to count and maintain accurate records with high attention to detail.
· Experience conducting cycle counts and reconciling inventory is desired.
· Knowledge of freight scheduling and carrier communication, particularly with FedEx is desired.
· Forklift certification is desired.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and shipping systems.
· Strong communication and problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
· Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
