The Project Manager (PM)will provide key support and coordination to the company team in executing the master plan for planning/building of a museum. The PM manages tasks associated with construction of the museum, such as the relocation of the media rooms.This position will be responsible for maintaining the following: scheduling, communications, budget and deliverables during the construction.
Coordinates input from the company team, contractors, and other project stakeholders and keeps them well informed of project status; communicates issues impacting the project, scope of work, schedule, and site logistics. Participates in meetings, and updates and distributes meeting notes.
Manages communication and documentation throughout the project, particularly during transition between phases.
Provides accurate and timely reporting of construction phase activities, including assessment of project milestones, scheduled updates, and necessary coordination with the team for activities that may disrupt operations.
Ensures compliance with construction documents and specifications. Coordinates moves, relocations, and the setup of temporary work spaces as needed.
Manages timely and orderly project closeout activities. Works with contractors, Operations and Information Technology (IT) staff to ensure deliverable completion and compliance.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor Degree and 3 years’ experience managing complex projects or 5 years’ experience in managing complex projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills across organizational areas and ability to develop and implement a project-specific communication plan.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and especially Outlook calendar features. Project management applications a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills as well as time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks associated with a master plan and consistently meet deadlines.
Understanding of design, construction and experience managing budget a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain documentation.
