Job Description

To operate any of the three labeling machines or to label by hand.

Labeler Operation:

  • To load and unload product from the machines.
  • To properly pack the labeled product according to the packing instructions.
  • To properly adjust the machine to label the necessary product.
  • To ensure the quality of the production.
  • Must be able to complete an order and have it ready without supervision.
  • Must report any machine problem either to his/her supervisor or a maintenance person.
  • Must be able to request supplies needed to the supervisor, the warehouse person, or whomever is assigned to order them, on a timely basis (before the supplies run out).

 

General:

  • Must be able to read and follow instructions
  • To store tools, labels, and other items in their correct locations.
  • To keep the production area clean and organized.
  • To help the shift in whatever other needs there might be, such as temporarily helping to pack, move materials, clean, do rework, etc, as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency, safety, and hygiene of the operation.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve quality.
  • Must report any safety concerns to your supervisor.
  • Must report any hygiene concerns to your supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to spend all day on your feet.

Must be able to repetitively load product into the machine – these stacks weigh only a pound or two.

Must be able to lift boxes off and onto a pallet – these boxes weigh up to 40 lbs.
