Job Description

Responsible for coordinating the receipt and movement of all incoming materials through the receiving area by performing the following duties. Uses MAS500 and DCSC to record all related transactions in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

 

  1. Receives incoming materials and compares to appropriate receiving documents and purchase orders.

 

  1. Coordinates and conducts quality inspections of incoming materials per established procedures.

 

  1. Notifies Buyer and management of any non-conformities or discrepancies in order to obtain disposition.

 

  1. Updates inventory by accurately entering receipts into the database.

 

  1. Records vendor performance for each receipt in the database.

 

  1. Maintains receiving stage and hold areas in an organized, clean, and safe manner.

 

  1. Works with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure timely and accurate movement of items from receiving into the warehouse.

 

  1. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety.

 

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

 

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of an ERP system.

 

Equipment:

Forklift

Pallet jack

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license
