Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
| Level | Description |
| 2 | Receives leadership and daily direction from shift FSQA Supervisor and Management. |
| 2 | Routinely observes production activities in RedZone to assure consistency and conformance to standards, as well as providing improvement suggestions.
|
| 2 | Assists in the effective completion and documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled tasks as required. |
| 2 | Notifies FSQA Supervisor or Management when non-conformances are noted. |
| 2 | Maintain the condition of the FSQ supplies required for daily operation. |
| 2 | Conduct Food Safety Inspections in the production environment. |
| 2 | Informs the team of raw material or finished goods issues. |
| 2 | Operation of required laboratory instruments as required. |
| 2 | Ensure compliance of incoming labels and packaging, as needed. |
| 2 | May complete FSQ related production records to assure conformance to requirements |
| 2 | Inspect finished product for food safety hazards including foreign material. |
| 2 | Filing QA documentation as requested. |
| 2 | Ability to systematically and physically place raw materials, finished good, WIP items or others on hold within ERP. |
| 2 | Other duties with similar skill, work conditions, and responsibilities as assigned |
Job Requirements
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
Technicians within the FSQA department are also expected to work with other departments to provide support and assistance in the following manner:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, procurement, and CI, to ensure food safety and quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance of regulatory, all corporate and facility policies, and SQF standards.
- Communicate deficiencies or new policies with production managers and leads.
- Work with production managers and leads to ensure products meet the specification in a sustainable manner and promote lean manufacturing techniques.
- Provide support and suggestions on ways to identify and correct root causes to issues in a collaborative manner with production and other departments.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
- Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, such as HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and industry standards.
- Highest integrity and standards and commitment to quality, food safety, and human safety.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant certifications (e.g., SQF, BRC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations and standards.
- Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner, work within timelines and in pressure situations.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-pace environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, handle multiple and sometime conflicting priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to work with associates at all levels of the organization as well as third party agencies and regulatory officials.
