CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

Technicians within the FSQA department are also expected to work with other departments to provide support and assistance in the following manner:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, procurement, and CI, to ensure food safety and quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance of regulatory, all corporate and facility policies, and SQF standards.
• Communicate deficiencies or new policies with production managers and leads.
• Work with production managers and leads to ensure products meet the specification in a sustainable manner and promote lean manufacturing techniques.
• Provide support and suggestions on ways to identify and correct root causes to issues in a collaborative manner with production and other departments.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
• Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, such as HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and industry standards.
• Highest integrity and standards and commitment to quality, food safety, and human safety.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant certifications (e.g., SQF, BRC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations and standards.
• Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner, work within timelines and in pressure situations.
• Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-pace environment.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, handle multiple and sometime conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at various levels.
