Job Description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that the quality control lab operates in accordance with established procedures and work instructions while adhering to safety, quality, regulatory and productivity objectives. As a Quality Control Technician, you will ensure that QC lab samples are handled and tested in a safe, precise, accurate, and efficient manner, maintaining all testing records in SQC and specialized software packages in the lab. The Quality Control Technician prepares chemical solutions and standards according to standard formulas and performs various test procedures on raw and in-process materials and on finished product, submitting written and oral responses to out-of-control test results and escalating when appropriate. In addition, the Quality Control Technician operates and maintains lab equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions, performing quality control checks on instruments and equipment and identifies mechanical problems, and escalating calibration and repair of instruments to the appropriate designee.

 

We are offering $16.00-$17.50 per hour depending on shift, with openings on all shifts. The night QC Technician must be able to work 6:00pm-6:00am, rotating 4 days on 4 days off. 

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma required; Associate degree or some college work in a scientific discipline is desired 
  • Experience with analytical and test equipment
  • Excellent math and computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and control charting desirable 
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience is desirable
