Job Description

Seeking a Test Technician with experience in composite or fiberglass work. The role involves various fabrication and processing operations to build and finish fiberglass reinforced parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform composite layup and mechanical assembly operations to military specifications using process sheets, drawings, and written instructions.
  • Operate air-powered tools to assemble/disassemble molds, sand, and patch block assemblies.
  • Operate a cabinet sandblaster and bandsaw.
  • Wear appropriate company-provided PPE required to perform tasks.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods to operate machinery and hand sand assemblies.
  • Handle various chemicals, epoxies, and resins associated with the assembly of fiberglass products.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Utilize the Microsoft Office suite and use a computer to review demands presented in automated systems, interpret written work instructions, and work with cell leads and factory management to develop strategies to meet requirements while managing targets associated with Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience working with fiberglass/composites or automotive body work/bondo type repair.
  • Experience using epoxy dispensers, curing ovens, and air-powered sanders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Additional relevant experience or training in composite or fiberglass work.

Education Required:

  • Two (2) years of a High School or Trade School education.
