CNC Laser Operator – Fairfield, OH
Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Location: Fairfield, OH
We are currently hiring an experienced CNC Laser Operator for a metal manufacturing and fabrication facility in Fairfield, OH. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser machines to support high-quality and efficient production in a fast-paced metal fabrication environment while following all safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC laser machines
  • Locate and load the correct laser programs into the machine
  • Load and unload sheet metal and finished parts using proper material handling equipment
  • Verify machine settings and monitor equipment throughout production
  • Troubleshoot machine and processing issues as needed
  • Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools
  • Perform grinding, dressing, deburring, and other secondary operations as required
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with preventative maintenance
  • Identify and report machine, material, or quality issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures
  • Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • 1+ years of CNC laser or CNC equipment operating experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience working with sheet metal and metal fabrication preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Familiarity with CNC laser machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine and production issues
  • Must be able to become certified to operate powered industrial equipment
  • Basic computer skills for loading programs and entering production or quality information
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
