3rd Shift Extrusion
Job Description
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up and running an extrusion line in a safe and efficient manner. As an Extrusion Operator, you will perform basic troubleshooting when product is out of spec, return product within acceptable limits, and perform quality checks to ensure product meets customer and listing requirements. The Extrusion Operator maintains a clean and safe work area, completes paperwork and reel tags accurately, and prepares for upcoming jobs to ensure paperwork, tooling and materials are available at completion of the current job. With experience, the Extrusion Operator will cross train on other extrusion lines and run various types of wire and cable products.
Your Skills and Abilities:
· High school diploma or GED/equivalent
· Prior extrusion experience in wire and cable
· Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills
· Experience with precision measuring equipment preferred
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
· Must be flexible with work tasks
