Heat Treater / Parts Handler
Location: Enfield, CT
 Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10:00 pm - *:00 am
Pay Rate: $20/hour
 Employment Type: Full-Time (Overtime as needed)
Job Description
The Heat Treater / Parts Handler is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by handling, processing, and monitoring parts through the heat treatment process. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Load and feed parts onto furnace belts according to Process Control Sheet instructions
  • Identify and recognize customer parts accurately
  • Keep parts properly labeled and organized to prevent mixing
  • Maintain steady product flow throughout operations
  • Follow all procedures and work instructions
  • Report major manufacturing issues to the Heat Treat Supervisor
  • Gather necessary supplies to complete daily tasks
  • Perform and document quality measurements and reporting
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Load and unload machines as required
  • Follow all department rules, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Sample parts during operations to ensure they meet customer specifications
  • Verify components match job work orders
  • Ensure all required paperwork is present at the workstation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
  • At least one year of work experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions in English
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Flexibility to work different shifts
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in high-temperature environments
  • Ability to perform repetitive arm and hand movements
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Reliable transportation
