3rd Shift Supervisor
Job Description
The Production Supervisor leads a team of hourly associates to meet production and quality goals. This role focuses on safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and maintaining high performance standards using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Supervise daily production to ensure goals for safety, quality, and output are met or exceeded.
- Coach, train, and develop employees through feedback, mentoring, and cross-training.
- Promote continuous improvement using Lean tools such as 5S, root cause analysis, and Kaizen events.
- Work with maintenance and engineering to prioritize equipment and tooling repairs.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
- Address employee concerns and manage performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and that all company policies and safety procedures are followed.
- Record and report safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or higher degree in a technical field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a union environment a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Integrity, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
