Job Description
Ensures customer orders flow through the facility in a timely, productive, and cost effective manner. Prepare factory tickets and job orders accurately to reflect requirements necessary for manufacturing processes. Individual must be able to effectively communicate with internal management, customers, sales, and plant employees. Individual is required to maintain quality work and accurate retrievable records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate and retrieve information from customers, management, and sales force successfully.
- Ability to assist Account Receivables in researching customer payment issues.
- Ability to prepare and communicate job bag requirements and customer information to internal persons responsible for production and quality.
- Ability to use ASI system in preparation for orders, acknowledgements, factory tickets, releases and Bill of Lading, invoices.
- Ability to manage customer inventories, work in process and receivables.
- Ability to request for quotes.
- Ability to process job bags to include proper specifications and approved samples.
- Ability to identify special or unusual customer requirements to then present to process owners
- Ability to maintain customer samples files
- Ability to assist and facilitate graphics, ink matches and structure approval when requested.
- Ability to write obsolete material request forms
- Ability to handle logistics including obtaining freight quotes, arrange customer pickups with carrier and determine number of pallets to be shipped when required.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Additional Duties
- Provide clarification and insight into customer expectations.
- Help sales to provide ongoing communications with client
- Facilitate customer issues with plant management and quality
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be accurate and precise, a good communicator, and problem solver. Must have computer knowledge, and job shop experience. The individual must be capable of operating without direct supervision. Must have High school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree are a plus.
