Advanced Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Advanced Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to assemble and disassemble subassemblies and systems according to specific instructions. The Advanced Assembler will be responsible for completing mechanical assemblies using various types of mechanical parts and tools, both standard and specialized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble subassemblies and systems following precise instructions and diagrams.
- Complete mechanical assemblies using standard and specialized tools.
- Utilize basic hand and power tools effectively for mechanical assembly tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in fine motor skills to manipulate small parts and perform repetitive tasks such as tying knots with lacing.
- Adhere to process sheets and instructions for mechanical assembly and minor repairs.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all assembled components and systems.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in assembly procedures.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Trade School education preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
- Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Excellent fine motor skills for handling small parts and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and procedures.
- BG/DT Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in mechanical assembly or a related field.
- Experience working with specialized assembly tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
