Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set up production equipment and instrumentation.
• Document results and provide the information to requesting personnel.
• Maintain necessary records; prepare and submit required reports.
• Set up and operate required laboratory equipment including but not limited to compounding, mixing, milling, sample prep, and molding.
• Assist in the maintenance of laboratory, warehouse, and inventory control of materials.
• Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the appropriate manager.
• Assist in the resolution of technical issues with the guidance of technical representatives.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
• None
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school graduate or equivalent, or 1 to 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Use a computer including but not limited to data entry, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and SAP.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of scheduling day’s commitments.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must possess the ability to complete basic math formulas.
• Must be licensed to operate the pallet totter.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Work environment consist of manufacturing area which may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells and chemicals.
• Work near moving mechanical parts (2/3 of time).
• Exposed to fumes and airborne particles (1/3 of time).
• Exposed to loud noises (over 2/3 of time).
• PPE required in area (safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator and protective clothing.
