Assembly Technician
Job Description
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of related product or assembly experience
- Hands-on soldering experience required
- Ability to construct and test subassemblies and instruments with moderate supervision
- Ability to read and interpret simple schematics and mechanical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Build mechanical and electrical subassemblies using supplied engineering documentation
- Assemble or update instrument models using drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Maintain company quality standards in every instrument produced
- Program EPROMs and PLDs for all units
- Perform pre-calibration of units as required
- Conduct leak testing on subassemblies and completed units
- Complete required paperwork for cost tracking and administrative control
- Build wire harnesses and cables
- Perform precision soldering on electronic components and assemblies
- Recommend improvements to increase quality, reduce cost, or improve ease of assembly
- Assist with physical inventory counts when required
