Assistant CFO
Job Description
We are a tri-state leader in the construction and service of residential and commercial swimming pools, experiencing rapid growth. Our treasurer, an independent CPA, is looking to hire an Assistant CFO to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly detailed, well-organized professional accounting expert with high-level accounting and finance experience. A CPA is ideal, but candidates with credentials suited for stepping into a CFO role are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounting operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key performance indicators.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Manage relationships with lenders, partners, and other financial stakeholders.
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial plans and investment strategies.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide financial guidance on potential acquisitions, dispositions, and capital projects.
- Participate in the development and execution of business plans and strategies.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage risk and develop strategies to mitigate financial exposure.
Bookkeeping:
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Accounting Team Oversight:
- Review financials and entries currently being done by the accounting team.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and improve existing accounting processes.
