Baker / Mixer – Food Production Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Baker / Mixer – Food Production Associate to support daily production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking food products while ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in food production and thrives in a team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
  • Prepare ingredients, equipment, and production areas for daily operations
  • Perform scaling, measuring, mixing, forming, and baking of products
  • Follow recipes, formulas, and product specifications with accuracy
  • Monitor dough consistency, mixing times, and baking conditions
Equipment Operation
  • Operate commercial ovens, mixers, extruders, depositors, compressors, pumps, and net weighers
  • Adjust temperature, speed, and output as needed
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production equipment issues
Quality & Compliance
  • Follow GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Maintain accurate production and batch records
  • Ensure product quality meets company and customer expectations
Inventory & Team Support
  • Track and manage raw ingredient inventory
  • Support packaging teams as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, commercial baking, or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices (GMP, SQF preferred)
  • Experience with mixing, baking, and production processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
  • ServSafe and/or Allergen certification
  • Experience operating production equipment and forklifts
