Bookkeeper

Job Summary
As our Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and processes that support our sustainability-focused operations. You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and transparency of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and record all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger accounts
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients in a timely manner
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed

Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience in the recycling or waste management industry
- Familiarity with financial reporting for sustainability-focused organizations

Working Conditions
This is an office-based role with minimal physical demands. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
