Job Type: Part-Time / Per Diem
Location: Hebron, KY
 
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Taxi Dispatch Attendant to manage the ground transportation staging area. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for arriving taxi drivers, verifying credentials, organizing the vehicle queue, and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic to provide excellent service for arriving airport passengers.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Driver Sign-In: Greet incoming taxi drivers and verify appropriate permits, licenses, and airport operating credentials.
  • Queue Management: Direct and organize the taxi staging line, ensuring vehicles are dispatched to the passenger pick-up zones in a fair, orderly, and timely manner.
  • Customer Assistance: Help arriving passengers with general directions, answer questions about taxi procedures, and direct them to the front of the taxi line.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of dispatched taxis, driver arrivals, and any notable incidents during your shift.
  • Communication: Maintain clear radio or phone communication with airport security, terminal staff, and transit supervisors as needed.
  • Environment Maintenance: Keep the dispatch booth and immediate surrounding area clean, safe, and organized.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors or in a semi-enclosed booth in various weather conditions.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform light physical duties.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays (ideal for per diem availability).
  • Basic familiarity with local geography and airport terminal layouts is a plus.
