Burnisher / Sand Blaster
Location: South Windsor, CT
 Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
 Additional Availability: Must be able to work Saturdays when needed
 Pay: $22/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Glass Bead Burnisher or Sand Blasting Operator to join our team. While journeyman-level experience is not required, candidates should have basic training with mechanical equipment, grinding tools, and power tools. This position includes operating a burnish cabinet, booth, or walk-in room and may also involve additional duties such as sandblasting and masking.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a burnish cabinet, walk-in booth, room, or similar equipment
  • Load and unload the burnish cabinet with glass bead or other required media
  • Burnish parts coated with IVD Aluminum according to specific job requirements
  • Visually inspect parts before, during, and after burnishing to ensure quality
  • Assist with sandblasting and masking as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous burnishing or sandblasting experience preferred but not required
  • Experience working with or removing heavy metals is a plus
  • Physical stamina; ability to lift 20+ lbs depending on part type
  • Familiarity with power tools
  • Must be detail-oriented, quality-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
  • Flexible schedule; must be able to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when required (advanced notice provided)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be COVID vaccinated
