Job Description
- Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and services
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements
- Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Track shipments and proactively resolve supply chain delays
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to support production needs
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing and inventory planning
- Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address supplier quality issues, defective materials, and vendor returns
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Previous purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
