CMM Operator
Job Description
Location: Ogden, UT 84404
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay: $25.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Training: First day on 1st shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Create and maintain all CMM programs for production parts, fixtures, and tools.
- Maintain quality system policies and procedures to meet ISO and customer requirements related to coordinate measuring systems.
- Program and manage the Keyence handheld CMM, create training programs, and train required employees.
- Manually slide overweight fixtures (approx. 200 lbs) onto hydraulic lift.
- Manage all programs on the blue light system and provide employee training.
- Collaborate with engineering to develop custom fixtures and tool validation strategies.
- Educate and assess employees’ ability to use inspection instruments.
- Maintain safety standards and complete daily/weekly 6S assignments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of strong manufacturing background.
- Minimum 2 years of CMM programming experience.
- Proficient with measurement and test equipment operation/calibration in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to manage customer relations and resolve issues quickly.
- Team player who can work across multiple departments.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, procedures, and standards.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Successful completion of an eye exam required.
- Compliance with general attendance standards required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
- Must meet all pre-employment screening requirements.
