CMM Programmer (Zeiss Calypso) 
Location: Wilmington, MA
 Pay Rate: $40–$45/hour
 Schedule: 1st Shift | Primarily Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior CMM Programmer with strong expertise in Zeiss Calypso software and GD&T to support precision inspection and quality initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex measurement challenges, and has a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in manufacturing.
You’ll spend the majority of your time working at a computer in an open office setting, with regular interaction on the production floor to support inspection and quality activities.
Work Environment
  • Open office environment (computer-based work)
  • Approximately 70% seated / 30% production floor support
  • Hands-on collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso
  • Perform precise dimensional inspections on complex components using CMM equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to ensure GD&T compliance
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Document and report inspection results, including non-conformances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CMM equipment for optimal performance
  • Train and support team members on CMM operation and GD&T interpretation
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and company standards
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience,
     OR
  • Associate’s Degree (or higher) with 6+ years of related experience
Technical Skills (Must-Have):
  • Minimum 4+ years of CMM programming experience, preferably with Zeiss Calypso
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and CAD models
  • Experience with Keyence measurement systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in CMM programming or quality inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician)
  • Experience with additional metrology tools and software
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments
