Job Description

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with set-up and operation of new CNC LATHES and/or new CNC Milling machines, familiarity with G CODE for programming parts due to short runs and multiple set-ups.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read blueprints and inspect their own work, using standard measuring equipment, e.g. micrometers and calipers.
  • Working knowledge of Mastercam, or similar software, is a strong plus but not a requirement. Please note that this is a Machinist, not a Machine Operator, position.

Duties and responsibilities include:

· Work within and support the culture of an AS9100 and ISO9001:2015

· Read and understand blueprints and specifications of the complexity of the aerospace and defense shipbuilding industries.

· Work as a team player and stay on task as a self-starting individual.

· Adjust to the ever-changing workflow, cross train, and perform multiple tasks as required.

· Support continuous process improvement initiatives through a willingness to think creatively to solve problems and accept better ways of doing things.
