Job Description

The CNC Programmer/Machinist is responsible for developing CNC programs using Solidworks, Mastercam and CIMCO Edit to support Operations and Research & Development. This position is responsible for performing fabrication set-ups of all specialized tooling/equipment and process improvements including cycle time reductions and fixturing improvements to reduce set-up time.

Responsibilities:
  • Create all machining and inspection programs for R&D and production dimpled hobs for CNC equipment including wire and sinker EDM.
  •  Create and enhance existing CNC programs for production parts, as well as ball mold cavities for CNC equipment such as milling machines and lathes.
  • Optimize CNC programs, machining processes, and fixtures to support precision manufacturing of parts with extremely tight tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot broken or malfunctioning machines and equipment. 
  • Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC lathes, Twin Spindle lathes, and wire EDM. Select appropriate tooling and fixtures to support precision manufacturing.
  • Train machine operations to new associates. Support training development of associates on the operation of CNC equipment as required. Maintain operation of equipment and perform PMs as required.
Requirements:
  • Electrician License
  • MA 2nd Class Fireman License
  • Demonstrated mechanical skills techniques
  • Knowledge of HVAC
  • Class A or B CDL
  • MA Journeyman Electrician License
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and/or electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of plumbing and piping
  • Universal Refrigeration License
