Location: Kensington, CT (relocating to Manchester, CT in September) – Onsite
Duration: Direct Hire
Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 / Hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Full-time, 40 hours/week

Description:
HW Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support various production and facility operations. This hands-on role will be responsible for assembling and molding advanced propeller blades, inspecting materials, maintaining inventory, and supporting facility operations and audits. The Technician will collaborate closely with engineers, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and be a key player in maintaining RCT’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble/disassemble manufacturing tooling and prepare materials for the RTM process
  • Mold propeller blades using precision fixtures and equipment
  • Assist Engineering with installations, assemblies, and inspections
  • Receive, inspect, and document Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) deliveries
  • Maintain inventory and organize non-conforming product areas
  • Participate in AS9100D internal/external audits
  • Support facility maintenance and perform business errands (e.g., restocking supplies)
  • Contribute to training, process improvements, and quality initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key Success Factors:
  • Ability to follow technical instructions with minimal supervision
  • Comfort working closely with Engineering and Operations teams
  • Strong organization and attention to detail for inventory and QMS records
  • Willingness to support multiple departments and pitch in where needed
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
  • 0–3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent hands-on work
  • Technical aptitude with mechanical assembly and tooling
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • U.S. Citizenship and valid ID required
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Perform hands-on assembly and basic mechanical tasks
