You will be responsible for creating precise cost estimates, analyzing production requirements, and driving continuous improvement in our processes. What You'll Do
Develop detailed cost estimates for furniture manufacturing projects, analyzing all inputs: materials, labor, and overhead.
Analyze technical documents including engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
Source and negotiate pricing for raw materials, hardware, and specialty components.
Collaborate across departments (Production, Engineering, and Purchasing) to ensure estimates are realistic and aligned with current capabilities.
Track and report project costs, proactively updating pricing models.
Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and production efficiencies.
Utilize our ERP system (Odoo) to manage and leverage current and historical cost data.
What You'll Bring
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
2+ years of professional work experience in a relevant estimating, costing, or manufacturing role is required.
Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
Strong mathematical aptitude and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage time effectively and apply strong organizational skills.
Experience with sales tax processes related to purchasing or costing.
The capacity to collaborate effectively and apply strong negotiation skills.
