Job Description

This position is full-time and will be responsible for the production of wood crates, cushion skids, and associated goods. This will be completed in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to the quality standards of Compass Packaging Solutions. They will arrive and depart on time and communicate with their supervisor for needed time off. Applicants should be able to work well within a team environment with shifting demands.

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Experience in woodworking; cutting wood and use of various woodworking saws.
  • Properly use and understand measurement tools within crate building.
  • General knowledge of hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment and material handling equipment, e.g. nail guns, staple guns, table saw, radial arm saw, chop saw, drills, etc.
  • Ability to maintain proper paperwork, have knowledge and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and complete production records
  • Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Crate manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Flexibility for changing demands and team dynamics.
