Job Description

Crate Building Associate
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Saturdays as needed, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Crate Building Associate to join our team in Bridgeport, CT. This position is responsible for building custom wooden crates to meet customer specifications using hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Build custom wooden crates according to customer specifications and measurements
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (nail guns, saws, drills, measuring tools, etc.)
  • Measure and cut materials accurately using a ruler and tape measure
  • Read and interpret basic work orders and build instructions
  • Assemble crates to ensure structural integrity and quality standards
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and durability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications
  • Ability to read a ruler and measure accurately
  • Experience using hand and power tools preferred
  • Basic carpentry or construction experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Environment
  • Industrial/warehouse setting
  • Fast-paced production environment
  • Overtime opportunities available
