Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact for customers. This role plays a key part in supporting the sales team by providing product information, processing orders accurately, resolving order issues, and building strong, lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter and process customer orders, track order status, and expedite as needed to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate regularly with existing customers to understand needs and maintain strong relationships
  • Support new and existing accounts through proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Assist with customer retention and growth through excellent service and relationship management
  • Present products effectively, including upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
  • Work closely with sales representatives and Regional Sales Managers regarding orders, opportunities, and issues
  • Follow up on lost or dormant accounts to reactivate business
  • Qualify customer RFQs, ensure accuracy, and coordinate handoff to shipping
  • Prepare and send quotations to customers as needed
  • Maintain accurate customer and contact information
  • Support business development activities such as mailings, samples, and follow-up calls
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate degree with 3+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient typing and solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred (IQMS a plus)
