Job Summary


Trident Marine, a privately held marina on Honeoye Lake, is hiring for a full-time or seasonal Retail Store Manager, a key right hand role for the only marina on Honeoye Lake. This individual will be a customer focused, self-starter, who enjoys working with people, wearing multiple hats, and has some systems and inventory experience. 


Position is available immediately, with pay in the $14-$18 ph range, or higher commensurate with experience and scope of role based on skill sets.  This individual is willing to work 40 plus hours per week, with one of the days being a weekend day, and individual can choose to do both if preferred.  Flexible schedule is allowed, as long as hours are arranged. 


General Accountabilities

  • Totals bills for merchandise, accepts payment, makes change for customers, and maintains store displays.
  • Assists in dispatching and handling gas / boat transactions as needed. 
  • Assists in overseeing part-time deck hand help, and training newer marina personnel.
  • Ensures that retail area is clean and well organized.
  • Assists in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
  • Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
  • Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise.
  • Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
  • Orders merchandise for customer when it’s not in stock.
  • Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
  • Totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
  • Accepts payment and makes change.
  • Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
  • Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
  • Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
  • Calculates sales discount to determine price.
  • Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory of stock, and orders merchandise.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.








  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Retail experience and customer service a plus
  • Experience: Some previous work-related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Service orientation
  • Problem solving
  • Basic math and order taking skills; reasonable systems skills
