Quality Engineer
Job Description
Pay Rate: $50 - $60 per hour
- Design, develop, and implement quality standards, methods, and procedures for product inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Analyze reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical systems, field, and clinical data.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and recommend effective corrective action plans.
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Manage supplier corrective actions and maintain active communication with suppliers and customers regarding quality matters.
- Conduct quality cost account management and track key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all quality requirements are met.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide input on operational practices and procedures.
- Support ongoing corrective action and continuous improvement projects, including those related to the company’s relocation.
- 4-5 years of prior Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Experience leading PFMEA activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Broad project management experience.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently.
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline) required.
- 50% Office / 50% Production Floor
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes and safety glasses required on production floor.
- Quality Engineering Team of 5 members.
- Key projects include supporting the facility move from Philadelphia to Camden and closing out open corrective actions.
- The ideal candidate will be capable of quickly integrating into the team and contributing to ongoing and upcoming projects with minimal supervision.
