Electrical Technician
Job Description
- Perform high-quality through-hole and surface-mount soldering on PCBs and wiring assemblies
- Fabricate, assemble, and test custom cable harnesses (coax, ribbon, twisted pair, shielded)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Assemble electromechanical components, fixtures, and prototypes
- Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical assemblies
- Maintain organized workspaces and follow ESD and lab standards
- Partner closely with engineers to support product development, testing, and production builds
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong soldering skills (IPC certification a plus)
- Experience with cable fabrication, including crimping, stripping, heat-shrink, and connector integration
- Ability to work with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification preferred
- Experience with PCB rework and fine-pitch components
- Knowledge of electrical safety and ESD procedures
- Background in product development or R&D environments is a plus
- Hands-on technical work with high-quality products
