HW Staffing is hiring an assembler! This position focuses on building electro/mechanical sub or final assemblies per specification within standard takt times, maintaining quality requirements and safety standards.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

- Organize/ verify components

- Checks quality and operation of work.

- Soldering

- Blueprint reading: Reads blueprints required to assemble components and/or electro/mechanical
assemblies.

- Documentation: Completes any and all quality and assembly documentation as required. Ensure that design, implementation, test and maintenance methods/processes are developed

- Comply with, participate in, and maintain 6S events and follow ups

- Using only calibrated equipment and tools

- Request material from the stockroom

- Assist with inventory transactions.

- Participate in daily management boards.

- Properly disposition defective parts using NCR process.

- Daily use of Oracle and Agile: Training requirements, accessing BOM/WI, and inventory searches.

- Participate in cross-training

- Work overtime as needed

This position is a physical job and has some physical demands including:

- Sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lifting/moving and carrying products weighing up to 15-20 pounds.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
- Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn.

Qualifications:

- High School l Diploma or general education degree (GED)

- Trade school or minimum one year electro/mechanical experience and blueprint reading preferred

Skills:

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions 

- Ability to perform mechanical assemblies of sub or final assembly using standard crimpers and hand tools

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Read/Understand English

- Microsoft, Oracle A Plus, IPC Certified A Plus, Agile

- Experience with using basic mechanical electrical tooling and measuring devices preferred
