Location: Cincinnati, OH

Job Function:
As an Electronic Technician, you will leverage your technical knowledge, existing documentation, and test equipment to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems down to the component level. You will collaborate with Management, Engineering, and other departments to analyze current designs and recommend improvements for enhanced performance and reliability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems to the component level.
  • Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Work with single-phase and 3-phase AC power systems.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of motors, transformers, and related components.
  • Apply knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.
  • Install, assemble, and fabricate electronics/electrical components based on technical specifications.
  • Perform precise soldering to the component level.
  • Use measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and signal analyzers for troubleshooting and system testing.
  • Accurately document repair activities and maintain repair logs.
  • Properly make cable and wiring connections.
  • Conduct inspections to identify defects and replacements.
  • Perform system testing to assess performance and functionality.
  • Manage inventory of electronic components and tools effectively.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system installations and maintenance procedures.
  • Work closely with management to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, meeting critical deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance.
  • Develop prototypes for feasibility analysis and present product findings.
  • Understand and follow technical manuals, drawings, and installation instructions.
  • Utilize MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for documentation and reporting.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives, gaining new skills and knowledge from other departments.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in English.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Be available for overtime as needed, including weekends.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards and guidelines.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (documentation required).
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience.
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s) (documentation required).
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be able to lift to 35 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-year associate’s degree or equivalent training in the electronics field.
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The position requires regular standing, use of hands and arms, and communication.
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility is required.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and bend, stoop, stretch, or crawl as needed.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
  • Must be able to use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
