Electronics Test Technician
Job Description
Pay Rate: $31.25 – $43.26 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Perform component-level diagnosis, testing, and repair of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and electronic systems
- Troubleshoot and debug electronic assemblies down to individual components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, etc.)
- Execute testing and calibration tasks in collaboration with engineering teams
- Conduct rework and quality testing for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies
- Utilize diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies
- Perform signal tracing, continuity checks, and voltage measurements on populated PCBs
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Document repair processes and results following depot-level procedures
- Maintain compliance with ESD protocols and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and problem resolution in production processes
- Benchwork production environment with business casual dress code
- Electronics repair lab with ESD-safe workstations
- Use of advanced tools such as microscopes, hot air rework stations, and diagnostic equipment
- Temperature-controlled setting with a collaborative team environment
- Strong background in electrical testing and debugging
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and circuit diagrams
- Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies)
- Hands-on experience with PCB repair and component replacement
- Understanding of analog and digital circuit theory
- Basic computer skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork
- Military avionics experience (e.g., C-130J, F-35, Apache, Blackhawk platforms)
- Experience with military display technologies (AMLCD, CRT, LED)
- Background in depot-level maintenance or repair
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- High attention to detail
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent post-secondary education) with 4+ years of related experience
- Technical training in electronics or military electronics experience is highly valued
- Component identification and replacement
- Circuit analysis and fault isolation
- Use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and in-circuit testers
- Experience with hot air rework, soldering, and microscope inspection
- Familiarity with X-ray inspection equipment (preferred)
