Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of complex mechanical systems and programming assemblies using relevant software. You will work directly with engineers to optimize processes in a lean production environment, consistently seeking continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Proficiency in building complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Adept at programming assemblies using relevant software.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering work instructions, drawings, or schematics to effectively perform job duties.
  • Working under direct supervision, adhering to prescribed processes and procedures.
Required Skills (Must-Haves):
  • Mechanical Assembly Skills: Proficiency in building complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Computer Skills: Adept at programming assemblies using relevant software.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering work instructions, drawings, or schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills to support GEMBA activities.
  • Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to learn new tools.
  • Strong motivation to positively impact team performance and work experience.
Preferred Additional Skills (Nice-To-Haves):
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Windows and Office.
  • MES and PLM applications experience.
  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs of weight to workbench.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • US Citizen.
  • Ability to pass pre-screening requirements, including criminal and citizenship checks, as well as educational and work history verification.
