Job Title: Flex Tooling Associate

Location: Engineering & Technology Ctr.    Department: Engineering Technology Balls - 181

Job Objective: Perform multiple assignments throughout the cup manufacturing process.

Primary Responsibilities:

Time Essential Duty Responsibilities 

• Hobbing cups for experimental and production cavities.
• Preparing cup blanks for the hobbing process.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspection of outgoing and incoming cavities.
• Cutting raw material to prepare for the machining process. Making deliveries of finished cavities and parts to the various ball plants and other facilities. Perform the final operation on silicone bronze mold cavities.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform multiple assignments throughout the cup manufacturing process.

Education: Vocational school perferred.

Experience: Machine shop background preferred.

Requirements:: Required to read basic machine shop measuring tools.

Special Credentials/Skills: Should work well with others, have communication and interpersonal skills. Should be able to adjust and handle a number of different tasks at one time. Must have a valid Driver's License.

Qualifications:

Need to have the following:

• Read, write and speak English
• Follow manufacturing/equipment specifications
• Perform basic math calculations
• Use blueprints and schematics
• Use a computer
• Use/understand measuring devices/tolerances
• Use various hand and power tools
• Learn and apply quality standards of workmanship/product
• Use machine tools such as drills, lathes, millers etc.
• To obtain forklift pallet-jack and/or man-lift license
• Demonstrated mechanical skills techniques
• Knowledge of hydraulic and/or electrical schematics
