Job Description

The Food Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing of food products. This role ensures that products are produced efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to all food safety regulations. The Operator works as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation & Monitoring: Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery and equipment (e.g., fillers, depositors, ovens, conveyors, packaging machines) according to established procedures and production schedules.

  • Product Handling & Quality: Handle raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods carefully to prevent damage or contamination.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Complete production logs, downtime reports, and other required documentation accurately and legibly.

  • Sanitation & Housekeeping: Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, work areas, and production lines following strict sanitation SOPs and GHP (Good Hygienic Practices).
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), confined space entry, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)..

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality assurance, maintenance, and other team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the food industry. Experience operating production machinery is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including production schedules and safety guidelines.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude for operating and making minor adjustments to machinery.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
    • Basic math skills for reading gauges and recording data.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, demanding production environment.
