Job Description

We are currently seeking Forklift Operators for a well established client company in Concord, NC. These opportunities are temp to hire for the successful candidate, with varied schedules available for 8 hour 1st shift, 8 hour mid shift, or 12 hour rotating schedules. The successful candidate must have experience with standard sit down forklifts as well as high reach trucks. This role pays $17 per hour and is conveniently located off Highway 85. 

Job purpose
Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties: shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling orders, staging materials for production, returning finished goods to the warehouse, and overall warehouse cleanliness.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Receive trucks and unload merchandise.
  • Fulfill customer orders.
  • Move product throughout the warehouse and production as directed by the management team. Organize products on the warehouse floor.  
  • Put away all goods received; execute inventory transaction. Verify that the transaction happened in the database.
  • Properly and promptly process all transactions/documents.
  • Ensure stock rotation
  • Maintain a clean warehouse and production environment.
  • Identify damaged or compromised products stored in the warehouse.
  • Work to Production Schedule priorities.
  • Locate, verify count accuracy and condition of goods received, and pull raw materials for production requirements
  • Maintain accurate identification of inventory.
  • Cycle counts and inventories, as directed.
  • Expected to leave the following production shift prepared for the first 2 hours.
  •  Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor/manager.
  • Follow all safety codes.
  • Other assignments as necessary.
 
Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be forklift certified
  • At least one year of sit-down, stand-up reach, and clamp truck forklift experience 
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Handheld scanner experience preferred
  • Knowledge of overall warehouse operations, including following both written and verbal instructions, housekeeping standards, and warehouse policies.
  • WMS experience with Epicor preferred
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving software programming such as the UPS, FedEx, etc. systems
  • Excellent clerical skills
 
 
Safety Requirements
Ability to wear required PPE including steel toes, safety glasses, and possibly hair/beard nets.
