Job Summary:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant will oversee all day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role handles the full accounting cycle—including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, and financial statement preparation—and is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently in a close-knit, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, and tax compliance (federal and state).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Track fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for annual reviews and tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accounting and tax reporting requirements.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Certification: Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) a plus.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of proven experience in full charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing or small business environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting software.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office Suite skills.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: Based on experience ($60,000 – $75,000 annual equivalent range)
  • Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm with long-term opportunity
