Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job Description
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, and tax compliance (federal and state).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
- Maintain and update the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.
- Track fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules.
- Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for annual reviews and tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accounting and tax reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Certification: Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) a plus.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of proven experience in full charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing or small business environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Salary: Based on experience ($60,000 – $75,000 annual equivalent range)
