- Perform thorough tests on various rail car systems, including HVAC, brakes, propulsion, and communication systems.
- Diagnose, repair, and modify electrical and mechanical components on rail cars.
- Read and interpret piping diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and electrical schematics.
- Utilize standard hand tools, multi-meters, clamp meters, and PC-based test equipment.
- Proven experience in electrical/electronic testing.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical school or Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, multi-meters, and PC-based test equipment.
- Familiarity with both English and Metric measurement systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
