Job Description

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a variety of HR processes and programs with a focus on continuous improvement. This fast-paced role demands someone who thrives in quickly changing environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Administration and Reporting Activities:

  • Maintain HRIS records and employee files, including entering new hires, job changes, and terminations in Paycom or similar systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison for weekly payroll processing between timecard approvers.
  • Provide data for government-required reporting.
  • Process unemployment claims, wage garnishment requests, and provide direction for employment verifications.
  • Contribute to the ongoing deployment of Paycom manager and self-service functions as well as other web-based programs.
  • Monitor labor law posting requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Periodic attendance at off-shift events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Talent Acquisition and Retention:

  • Assist in scheduling interviews, phone screens, reference/background checks, and drug screens.
  • Prepare candidate correspondence, offer packages, and onboarding communications.
  • Support the execution of recruitment and other HR events, including scheduling, inviting, and attending such events and providing feedback for future events.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding to ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, compensation, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate administration of disability programs.
  • Serve as liaison for the rewards and recognition program and coordinate company engagement activities.
  • Assist with career path planning.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 2-4 years of equivalent experience in a Human Resources department.
  • Previous experience with HRIS.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with payroll.
  • Experience using Paycom or similar systems.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with employees.
  • Positive attitude and a high level of commitment to job duties.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
