HR Coordinator
Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a variety of HR processes and programs with a focus on continuous improvement. This fast-paced role demands someone who thrives in quickly changing environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Administration and Reporting Activities:
- Maintain HRIS records and employee files, including entering new hires, job changes, and terminations in Paycom or similar systems.
- Act as the primary liaison for weekly payroll processing between timecard approvers.
- Provide data for government-required reporting.
- Process unemployment claims, wage garnishment requests, and provide direction for employment verifications.
- Contribute to the ongoing deployment of Paycom manager and self-service functions as well as other web-based programs.
- Monitor labor law posting requirements and ensure compliance.
- Periodic attendance at off-shift events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:
- Assist in scheduling interviews, phone screens, reference/background checks, and drug screens.
- Prepare candidate correspondence, offer packages, and onboarding communications.
- Support the execution of recruitment and other HR events, including scheduling, inviting, and attending such events and providing feedback for future events.
- Assist with new hire onboarding to ensure a positive and welcoming experience.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, compensation, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate administration of disability programs.
- Serve as liaison for the rewards and recognition program and coordinate company engagement activities.
- Assist with career path planning.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 2-4 years of equivalent experience in a Human Resources department.
- Previous experience with HRIS.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with payroll.
- Experience using Paycom or similar systems.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with employees.
- Positive attitude and a high level of commitment to job duties.
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
