Job Description

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking Ice Rink Attendants for an ice rink event located in Yonkers, NY

Flexible afternoon hours, 11/14/2024 – 1/5/2025

$20.00 hourly

Responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained ice rink environment for guests. This position involves assisting customers, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the rink area, and handling skate rentals. The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, and capable of handling a variety of responsibilities with a positive attitude.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Greeting and assist guests with a welcoming attitude.
    • Answer questions regarding rink policies, schedules, and general facility information.
    • Help patrons with skate fitting and lacing, ensuring a secure and comfortable fit.
    • Provide guidance to beginner skaters as needed.
  2. Safety and Security:
    • Monitor the ice surface, enforcing rink rules and policies to ensure a safe skating environment.
    • Assist skaters in case of falls, injuries, or other incidents, providing basic first aid as needed.
    • Report any hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Handle transactions accurately, following credit card and debit card handling procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing rink activities, including public skating sessions, private lessons, and group events.
