Position Type: Full Time, Monday through Friday, 3rd Shift
Compensation: $29.00 per hour, overtime after 40 hours per week

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop effective plans for each inbound operation, including delivery route planning, and communicate these plans to employees.
• Supervise dockworkers and drivers during unloading of strip trailers and loading of city delivery routes.
• Adjust routing as necessary to align with available workforce or changes in workload.
• Review, plan, and prioritize commitments, appointment freight, and equipment requirements.
• Maintain communication regarding linehaul driver issues throughout the shift.
• Foster a positive work environment, effectively addressing employee concerns and facilitating suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including federal, state, local, and company policies.
• Provide training, mentoring, and corrective action as needed for team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proficiency in processing inbound paperwork from start to finish, including printing manifests, completing hazmat closeouts, and preparing driver paperwork.
• Ability to handle various customer service requests via phone.
• Capacity to adapt productively to change and manage additional assigned tasks.
• Fluent command of the English language for effective internal and external communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High school education minimum, college education preferred.
• One year of trucking experience or similar background; previous supervisory experience advantageous.
• Competence and proficiency in Microsoft Office Software products.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and D.O.T. regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
• May involve outdoor work in extreme weather conditions.
• Requires significant standing, walking, lifting, and carrying, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and computer work.
• Exposure to interior and exterior environments, including inclement weather conditions and exhaust fumes.
• Regular manual dexterity, including typing and grasping.
• Talking and hearing abilities required for communication, often in noisy environments.
