Job Description

Are you detail-oriented with a sharp eye for precision? HW Staffing’s client, a leading innovator in the dental and medical industries, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team on the 2nd Shift in Shelton, CT.

What You'll Do:
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be the guardian of our product quality. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing thorough visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure they meet specified quality standards and engineering drawings.
  • Operating and calibrating various measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Accurately documenting inspection results, identifying and reporting non-conformances, and maintaining detailed quality records.
  • Collaborating with production teams to identify root causes of defects and support corrective and preventative actions.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a proactive and precise individual with a strong commitment to quality. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably within a manufacturing environment (medical device or dental industry experience is a plus).
  • A strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency in using a variety of inspection tools and measurement equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate findings and work effectively with cross-functional departments.
