Job Description

The Injection Mold Setup Technician sets up injection molds, molding machines, and auxiliary support equipment for production and provides support for operators for in-process inspection. As an Injection Mold Setup Technician, you will be responsible for preparing raw materials and all auxiliary equipment for production support, including but not limited to drying equipment, degating equipment, and packaging requirements. The Injection Mold Setup Technician interprets production schedules to set up equipment in support of production demand and installs injection molds into molding machines to company procedures. 

 

This direct hire position pays $18.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience, plus 10% shift differential, operating on 2nd Shift 2:00pm-10:00pm.  Employee must train for 1-2 months on 1st shift before moving to 2nd shift.

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 1-2 years’ experience setting up injection molding machines
  • Understanding of basic math concepts (fractions, decimals, bar graphs)
  • Knowledge of Scientific Molding Principles and injection molding setup parameters
  • Excellent attention to detail
