Job Description

A Rhode Island company since coming to America in 1976, our client is in supermarkets, groceries, delis and restaurants across the United States and are exported to Canada, Mexico, China, Korea and other countries. Known for its high-quality products, the family owned and operated company has grown in the highly competitive Italian cured meat industry. Our client has immediate opening, and this is direct role with the company:

Execute all physical inventory operations, processes for Rhode Island, Utah, and third-party locations

· Execute daily activities of the physical inventory team and processes

· Coordinates and performs the daily collection and input of statistical data in support of measuring KPI’s

· Coordinates and executes counting schedules, month close activities and audits

· Assists in the development of improved work processes and procedures that enhance inventory accuracy and effectiveness of assigned work teams and is responsible for achieving the incremental results from the implementation of these improvements

· Schedule individual and team resources to meet the demands of the organization, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime

· Meet regularly with warehouse, production, supervisors and leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, and team development

· Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of lead indicators and KPIs


Job Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

· High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Professional Experience

· 1+ years’ experience in an inventory-oriented role in a manufacturing environment

· Willingness to learn inventory control best practices and procedures

· Experience in manufacturing environment with >1000 unique SKUs

· Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

· Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of company staff

· Comfortable with a degree of autonomy, self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual (English, Spanish)

  • Experience in supply chain, business, or engineering
  • Exposure to ERP/WMS
