Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist (Manufacturing)
Location: Camden, NJ
Pay Rate: $39.80/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support manufacturing operations in Camden, NJ. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory tracking, efficient material movement, and timely processing of shipping and receiving transactions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining strong organizational and communication skills.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing warehouse and stockroom setting with daily inventory activity
- Combination of floor work and cubicle-based administrative tasks
- Collaborative team environment (approximately 15–20 team members)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system transactions and physical verification
- Process inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, and shipments
- Support shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely material flow
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to meet production material needs
- Utilize ERP systems to track inventory and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate effectively via email and internal systems regarding inventory status
- Generate and maintain reports using Excel and inventory management tools
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and inventory control standards
Typical Workday
- Perform inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor incoming and outgoing materials within the warehouse
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams
- Update inventory systems (SAP/Oracle or similar)
- Respond to internal inquiries and provide inventory updates
- Support ongoing process improvements in inventory control
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with manufacturing inventory systems (e.g., Oracle or similar ERP)
- Strong email communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Additional ERP system experience
- Advanced Excel skills (reporting, data analysis)
